Dr David WardMarried to Kristie (Property Developer). 1 daughter, McKenzie, aged 3 years and a second girl “on the way” due in mid-April 2009. Plays touch football, loves the beach, and occasionally enters Triathlons or Adventure races. David graduated from University of Sydney in 1990 with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Animal Husbandry) before working for a year as an agronomist/livestock adviser in Tamworth, NSW. Returned to Sydney University for 2 years as a research officer at the University farms and completed a Masters degree in veterinary science looking at nutritional influences on milk protein in Dairy cattle. In 1994, David went to South Africa to start his veterinary science degree at University of Pretoria, Onderstepoort. He gained great skills in wildlife and also learned to talk a bit of Afrikaans. David transferred to Murdoch University in 1996 and completed his Veterinary science degree in 1998. Since graduation, David has worked in an Avian practice, Western Plains Zoo (3.5 years), horse and cattle practice (mixed) in Hunter Valley and small animal practice in Newcastle, his home town. He joined Marc and Andrew when they opened their new practice at Northbridge in 2005 and is now managing Vetmed Northbridge. David has sat his membership exams for Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in small animal surgery and is currently studying post-graduate course in internal small animal medicine. David has a passion for wildlife and is particularly interested in “the Unusual” exotics and birds as well as challenging small animal disorders. He enjoys learning about his clients as much as helping them with their animals’ problems. |

Edwina ArmatiEdwina is currently on maternity leave and we anxiously waiting for the arrival of her new baby and so is Charlie her son. Edwina graduated from Sydney University in 2001 with Second Class Honours. She then spent 2 years working in a mixed practice in Bathurst, before returning to Sydney to work for Randwick Vet Hospital in 2004. Edwina passed her membership exam in Small Animal Internal Medicine in July 2005, and then married James in October 2005- It was a busy year! In 2007 Edwina went on maternity leave after having her first baby, Charlie. She has now returned to the Vetmed team, working part time at the Northbridge practice. Edwina's main interest is the medical side of vet, in particular, cats. |

Dr Andrew HerronMarried to Jacqui with 3 children: 2 beautiful daughters Georgia & Tess and Luke their active son. Andrew graduated from Sydney University in 1990 the same year as Marc. He started his veterinary career working in Gloucester, NSW where he won best vegetable patch in the district. Andrew ventured into the big wide world with a move to the United Kingdom. He locumed around and was fortunate enough to meet his future wife whilst cruising the Greek Isles. Returning to Australia Andrew started at Randwick Vet Hospital in 1993 and then with Marc bought Randwick Vet in 1996. In 1997 Andrew passed membership examinations in Emergency Medicine & Critical Care. Andrew has interest in Oncology, Emergency Medicine , Critical Care & advanced dentistry . |

Dr Marc SimpsonMarried to Janie (Gold trader). Keeps fit by trying to keep up with his 3 very active boys: Nicholas , Matthew and Will. Marc graduated from Sydney University in 1990 and started working at Randwick Vet with Max Patton. In 1991 to 1996 Marc managed Maroubra Vet Hospital. In August 1996 Andrew and Marc bought Randwick Vet. Marc has passed membership examination to Australian college Veterinary Scientists in small Animal Surgery & Medicine and completed post graduate course in Small Animal Imaging – Radiology and Ultrasound. Marc has interest in advanced cancer & joint surgery. |
