Vet Med Kennels

Now we have moved to our new premises 81-85 Frenchmans Road, we have higher quality, but lower numbers of runs and kennels and beautiful new individually ventilated cat condos (see photos of our new facilities)

We can still accommodate special need stays, for dogs  on medication or dogs who require feeding prescription diets.

All other dogs for boarding can still be dropped off at Randwick Vet Med to be picked by MeadowMist - air-conditioned vans and boarded in their extensive grounds at Richmond. MeadowMist is first NSW boarding business to be accredited under PIAA (Pet Industry Association of Australia). Patricia and George are very dedicated in making sure your pet has an enjoyable experience whilst you are away on holidays - www.meadowmist.com.au

Cats now have high comfort cat condos which are individually ventilated and have comfortable bedding in a a climate controled room with natural light.
They get out each day to stretch their legs and play within the cat play area.

All animals are cared for by our veterinary nurses and animal carers. Vets are on duty 7 days a week to attend to any illness that may occur.

Important requirements for boarding

DOGS

  • To provide the best protection against contagious diseases such as kennel cough, Vet Med requires you to bring a current vaccination certificate for your dog. The certificate must show a full C5 in the last 12 months.
  • Similarly proof of current heartworm prevention is required as heartworm is transmitted by mosquitoes so can be transmitted from dog to dog.
  • Check chains or slip collars are dangerous in boarding runs so we require your dog to have a collar so we can place identification tags on if required.
  • If you would like for your dog to be fed their regular diet, please provide this at check in.

CATS

  • To provide the best protection against contagious disease such as cat flu, Vet Med requires you to bring a current F3 vaccination certificate for your cat.
  • If you would like for your cat to be fed their regular diet, please provide this at check in
  • For the safety of all of the animals in our care, we are unable to accept your pet for boarding if you do not meet the above requirements. If you require vaccination or heartworm prevention for your dog or cat, please contact your nearest Vet Med hospital at least 2 weeks before your boarding booking. This allows VetMed to vaccinate your pet in time to be accepted by the boarding kennels & Cattery.
  • We look forward to meeting you and your pet soon!
